Luiz Carlos Trabuco the current president of Banco Bradesco will be vacating his seat on March 12, 2018 after the general assembly meeting which is slated for that date. His replacement, Octavio de Lazari Junior will still hold his current position as the president of the Bradesco Seguros Group.
Some other names including Octavio de Lazari Junior’s were nominated to fill the presidential position once the current president steps down from the cited executive position. De Lazari Junior worked for fifteen years at Banco Bradesco’s 12 de Outubro Branch located in Sao Paulo City. He forfeited his ambition to become a football player in order to work in the bank, which his father managed to clinch for him by requesting the bank manager to give his son a chance to try for the vacancy.
According to reuters.com, Octavio de Lazari Junior managed to pass the test that the bank gave him and chose him to fill the said vacancy in the branch. He stated that he never dreamed that the day might come when he will become the president of Banco Bradesco. His only objective at the time he entered the institution was to advance himself in terms of studying, which he did along with working his way through the different units of the organization.
The immediate change of positions within Banco Bradesco happened due to the departure of Lazaro Brandao resigned as the Board of Director’s Chairman, and Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi who was already the bank president then had to take his place as chairman. From that time, the presiding bank president held dual positions until such time that a replacement can be appointed formally when the next general assembly came. It is a mandatory process within the Bradesco organization to choose succeeding leaders from the employees who are already working within the bank.
De Lazari Junior states that Bradesco warrants leadership and results, so he is committed to provide the continuity and legacy left by his predecessors, Lazaro Brandao and Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi, who were with him at the time of the press conference that would broadcast the bank’s change in presidency.
CEO Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi said that the selection process for the incoming bank president took quite a while to materialize. He disclosed that the upper management knew De Lazari Junior would be among the seven vice presidents who are going to be nominated, and his unique and profound experience set him apart from the competition.
While Brazil’s banking industry is quite optimistic about the 2018 economy, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi and his successor underlined the importance of the pension reform. According to the former, the cited reform is the ultimate transformation that is needed so the government can come up with the expected overhead and other expenditures.
So, in his personal viewpoint, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi adds that if the reform is not approved a disagreement would ensue and an agreement will not be reached. Nevertheless, interest rates indicate that the economy for 2018 will be a better one.
